The Bossard Engineering Test Laboratory introduces a simulation assembly workstation to increase the test torque range from 50 Nm to 350 Nm, helping customers verify the accuracy of the assembly process for high torque threaded connections and further upgrade the "assembly technical services".
This simulation assembly system is equipped with a mechanical arm, which can obtain the relationship between the assembly torque and the Angle by simulating the actual assembly conditions, so as to verify the accuracy of the assembly process. The measured torque and Angle curves can also be used to set the process parameters of torque-angle method.
"The accuracy of the high-torque assembly process is important for critical applications in industries such as rail transit and automotive. The introduction of the analog assembly workstation means that we are able to help these customers solve the problems they may encounter in high-torque threaded connection applications and help them find and validate the right solution." Boosard Baizhong Engineering department.
In addition, if combined with ultrasonic equipment, the simulation assembly system can also obtain fastening parameters such as torque, Angle, axial force, friction coefficient and torque coefficient of the threaded connection during the tightening process and various assembly parameter curves, which is conducive to a more detailed analysis of the threaded connection.
At present, there are four commonly used assembly processes for fasteners: torque method, torque-angle method, yield point tightening method and elongation control method. Torque method and torque-angle method are the most widely used. Although the corresponding assembly parameters can be obtained through theoretical calculation and other methods, it is still necessary to simulate the assembly to do the corresponding process verification.
The assembly quality of fasteners is very important, and incorrect assembly will seriously affect the operation safety of the equipment. As a fastening solution provider with more than 190 years of experience, Bossard has been constantly exploring how to optimize the assembly process and help customers achieve "mature productivity" while ensuring the quality of fastener products.
